Accredited Training Pathway with the dogcalmer

Transform your relationship with your dog – one course at a time

At thedogcalmer, we believe a truly well-trained dog is calm, confident, and connected — because real training is about understanding, not control.

Our six-part accredited training pathway guides you and your dog from puppyhood to advanced level, step by step. Each course builds calmness, confidence, and communication, helping you both enjoy a stronger bond and real-world reliability.

Every level runs for six weekly one-hour lessons, giving you 36 hours of expert instruction. You’ll also have up to 36 hours of self-led practice at home — supported by weekly homework notes and short quizzes to help reinforce what you’ve learned in class.

🐾 The Six-Stage Pathway

Puppy One – Building Calm Beginnings

Start your journey by learning to “speak dog”. Build trust, clear communication, and early manners such as recall, calm greetings, and walking on a lead.

Puppy Two – Shaping Reliable Responses

Strengthen focus, stay commands, and recall under distraction. Build confidence and consistency with playful, positive learning.

Intermediate One – Calm Control in the Real World

Develop steadiness and reliability with heelwork, recall, retrieve, and calm social skills around other dogs and people.

Intermediate Two – Focus, Confidence & Reliability

Introduce distance control, polite greetings, and calm handling for vets and grooming — bringing maturity and cooperation to the fore.

Intermediate Three – Refining Skills & Teamwork

Deepen your partnership with off-lead heelwork, “Go to Bed”, “A Recall”, and teamwork exercises that test focus and fun.

Advanced – Mastering Calm, Confident Control

Polish precision, attention, and composure. Perfect for those aiming for everyday excellence or moving on to specialist disciplines.

On completion of all six stages, you and your dog will earn the thedogcalmer Advanced Certificate and a CPD-Accredited Award — celebrating your shared learning, commitment, and success.
