How to harness the dogs enthusiasm or create enthusiasm Stays and steadiness - to enable more challenging retrieves as we progress Improved recall Improved relationship - your dog will want to be with you more as there is more fun to have with you than without you. Teach them to think for themselves whilst working with and for you. Understand the retrieve from the dog view point Foundation for learning “search retrieve” Beginning of “Directional retrieve” This in turn will make being with your dog: More fun as our understanding and skills grow, we give our dogs more purpose whilst making dog walks more meaningful, in turn this strengthens the dog/handler connection, as a result building more confidence and trust in the handler By stretching your dogs learning we increase the neural pathways in the dogs brain creating a brighter happier dog If your dog possessive of toys - We hear this is your dog asking for more retrieve training
