NEW – Beyond the Training Field - Friday 21st and 28th August and 4th September Exclusive for thedogcalmer Advanced Students Your dog has learnt the skills in class—now it's time to put them into practice in the real world. Join Avril Munson and Caroline Kenney for a three-week series of guided training walks through Hylands Park, Chelmsford, designed specifically for dogs that have reached our Advanced level. Fridays | 2.00pm – 4.00pm Each afternoon will include: Practical training while walking through Hylands Park. Working around real-life distractions including other dogs, people, cyclists, children and wildlife. Improving loose lead walking, attention and responsiveness in a public environment. Developing calmness, patience and confidence away from the training field. Individual coaching from both Avril and Caroline throughout the walk. We'll finish each session with a 30-minute settle at The Deli café in Hylands Park, helping your dog learn one of the most valuable life skills of all—relaxing quietly while you enjoy a drink and conversation. Refreshments are available to purchase from the café. This isn't about teaching new exercises. It's about helping you and your dog transfer everything you've learnt into everyday life with experienced guidance beside you. As always, numbers will be kept small so that every handler receives individual support. This course is available exclusively to dogs that have completed or are on thedogcalmer's Advanced training programme.
